SUBMISION INFORMATION

WER'10 invites proposals for two hours tutorials to be held in conjunction with the conference. Tutorials should be held in English. We encourage tutorials that reflect the conference spirit and provide clear utility to practitioners.

Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

The program committee will review each proposal and will select quality proposals. Factors to be considered include: relevance, audience appeal, suitability for presentation in a two hours tutorial format, and past experience and qualifications of the instructors.

The tutorial proposal must contain at maximum 4 pages (PDF file) and should cover the following points:

  1. Goal and Objectives: The overall goal of the tutorial and the concrete objectives to be achieved.
  2. Structure of Contents: Here you should provide a structured overview of your planned tutorial, organized into numbered sections. For each section, you should sketch its contents in a few sentences or bullets.
  3. References: Provide references to papers, books, etc. where your tutorial builds on.
  4. Sample Slides: Prepare two/three sample slides from the presentation that you would give if your tutorial were accepted. They must be included as part of the proposal.

Deadline for submission is Jan 20th, 2010.

After acceptance, Tutorial Notes should be sent to be published by the organization in a book with ISBN number. Additionally, they will be indexed by DBLP and made available in WER series repository http://wer.inf.puc-rio.br/WERpapers/.

Tutorial Notes should be written in English and must not exceed 6 pages including figures, author's information, abstract, and bibliography. They should be submitted using the 8.5" x 11", two-column IEEE CS Press Proceedings format as a PDF file, available at: ftp://pubftp.computer.org/press/outgoing/proceedings/instruct8.5x11.doc

Tutorial proposals should be submitted to both the co-chairs, Graciela Hadad (ghadad@unlam.edu.ar) and Oscar Dieste (odieste@fi.upm.es).
