TUTORIAL III: Knowledge Sharing and reuse

RESUME:

This tutorial presents a view of how the knowledge sharing and reuse technology is evolving, its terminology, the infraestructure, technology, and methodologies that make it possible, its main developments, as well as the principal research issues and future trends.

The tutorial is organized in four parts. The first is an introduction to this field. The goal of the second part is to explain the activities that readers interested in building ontologies from scratch should perform and in which order, as well as the techniques to be used in each phase of the building process.

The third presents the most well-known ontologies. Finally, the last is the use of ontologies in final applications

OULTINE:

  1. Theoretical Foundation
  2. Methodology to build ontologies
  3. The most relevant ontologies
  4. Uses of ontologies in applications
  5. Summary and future trends.
