Buenos Aires, a modern city, Capital of Argentina and Capital of tango. Theatres, museums, gastronomy. Tourist Places Near the Conference Center

Puerto Madero (Madero Port): between the City and the river are located the old dikes and dock stores, with brick walls and iron structures completely recycled, converted in modern office buildings and restaurants. They are at 3 blocks (300 meters - 5 minutes on foot) from the Conference Center.
Plaza San Martín and Torre de los Ingleses (St. Martin Square and English’ Tower): opposite the hotel, crossing the road.
Plaza de Mayo, Catedral Metropolitana and Casa de Gobierno (May Square, Metropolitan Cathedral and City Hall): Located at 7 blocks (700 meters - 10 minutes walking).
Café Tortoni (Tortoni Café): Typical and historical café. At 10 blocks (1000 meters - 15 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by taxi - 2.5 pesos -, and also reachable by several buses), from the hotel.
San Telmo (St. Telmo): Historical neighbourhood, one of the oldest of the city. Its constructions are a sample of the late XIX century architecture. It is located at 20 blocks (2000 meters - 30 minutes on foot, 12 minutes by taxi - 3 pesos -, and also reachable by several buses).
La Boca (The Boca): First dock of the city. The neighbourhood was the settlement of the immigrants, mostly from Genoa, arrived between 1880 and 1930. Here it is located the Boca Junior’s stadium, one of the best of Argentina. It is at 35 blocks of distance (3500 meters - 15 minutes by taxi - 5 pesos -, and also reachable by several buses).
Recoleta: Recreational zone, with historical-cultural attractive and a sophisticated business and gastronomic center. It is located at 7 blocks (700 meters on foot - 5 minutes by taxi - 3.5 pesos - , and also reachable by several buses).

Arrival from the Airport

Ezeiza International Airport.

The transoceanic, and most of the continentals, flights arrive to the Ezeiza International Airport, where there is a tourist office, a bank for change foreign currency, a hotel reservation office and several car rental companies.
